VANCOUVER TO HOST GREY CUP IN 2011
Bill Bennett, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts stands beside the Grey Cup trophy with retired BC Lions kicker Lui Passaglia, and Lions' general manager and head coach, Wally Buono.

Feb. 27, 2009 - Vancouver has been chosen to host the 99th CFL Grey Cup Championship game in 2011. The game will take place at what will be the newly renovated B.C. Place Stadium. To date, Vancouver has hosted 13 Grey Cup games. The last game was in 2005.

$8.1 MILLION INVESTED IN PROVINCIAL HERITAGE PROPERTIES

BENNETT HITS THE ICE TO ANNOUNCE JUNO CUP LINE-UP
The Juno Cup is an annual charity hockey game fundraiser for MusiCounts, which helps schools across Canada offer music education. The year's game on March 27, at University of B.C. Thunderbird Arena, will feature former NHLers and more than 20 musicians including: Cuddy, Sarah McLachlan, Tyler Stewart of the Barenaked Ladies, Matthew Barber and Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea.

Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Bill Bennett joins former Vancouver Canuck Cliff Ronning, CARAS director Melanie Berry and Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy on the ice at GM Place for the announcement of the Juno Cup line-up.

THE 2009 TOURISM INDUSTRY CONFERENCE
On Friday, Feb. 13, Minister Bennett presented awards to winners of the fourth annual BC Tourism/Hospitality Student Case Competition.

Bill Bennett, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, addresses delegates at the 2009 Tourism Industry Conference. This year's conference took place in Vancouver BC, Feb. 11-13.

MINISTER BENNETT MODERATES ECONOMIC SUMMIT SESSION
This session took place during the second of two B.C. Economic Summits organized by the Province. The first was held in Prince George. These summits provided opportunities for business, government and community leaders to come together to discuss and share ideas on the challenges and potential of B.C.’s current economy.
