B.C. MANAGES OFF-ROAD VEHICLES
KAMLOOPS –  Rules for off-road vehicle registration and licensing, helmet use, youth safety and environmental measures will be implemented over the next two years under a new off-road vehicle (ORV) management framework, announced Tourism, Culture and the Arts Minister Kevin Krueger Nov. 10, 2009. The proposed framework is the result of extensive consultations over a number of years with a wide variety of interested organizations.

PROVINCE CONFIRMS NEW BC PLACE ROOF FOR 2011
As first announced in May 2008, a new retractable roof will be built after the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The project will be completed by the summer of 2011, in time for the 2011 Grey Cup. The total capital cost for the retractable roof project will be $458 million.

A fixed-priced contract for the construction of a new, retractable roof on BC Place has been signed between the BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) and PCL Constructors Canada Inc, announced Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism Culture and the Arts and David Podmore, PavCo chair.

CRAIGFLOWER MANOR RECEIVES $250,000 TO REPAIR FIRE DAMAGE
Some of the fire damage to Craigflower Manor could be clearly seen behind Minister Krueger who announced the provincial funding to repair the building.

VICTORIA – August 25, 2009 – Kevin Krueger, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts at Craigflower Manor to announce $250,000 in joint federal and provincial funding. The money will cover the cost of repairing the national historic site, which was damaged by a January fire.

SUNDIAL LAUNCH - TELLING TIME WITH SHADOWS

Together with community partners, they unveiled a new beautification feature at Ogden Point: an interactive sundial - a BC150 Legacy project - near the breakwater entrance.
