SPIRIT POLE BEGINS HISTORIC JOURNEY TO CELEBRATE COWICHAN 2008 NORTH AMERICAN INDIGENOUS GAMES
May 2, 2008 – Minister Hagen signs up to be a volunteer for the Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games.
The Cowichan phrase Nuts'amaat Shqwaluwun translates to "working together to help one another." The Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games needs the assistance of 3,000 volunteers to help deliver the Games in August 2008.

ROSSLAND – Rossland will be receiving a $10,000 BC150 Celebration Grant to help the cities in the West Kootenay Boundary region fund a local BC150 celebration, Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts Stan Hagen announced.
