VANCOUVER - Minister Colin Hansen spoke at the official opening of the Nat Bailey Stadium Park October 28, 2005. In 2002, the Federal and Provincial governments announced that the Millennium Sport Facility Society would receive $1.7 million from the Canada-B.C. Infrastructure Program (CBCIP), to build the 44,000 square-foot facility that would house a community multi-purpose room, new gymnastic training centre for both Olympic and recreational athletes as well as an international standard indoor lawn bowling facility.
