VANCOUVER - The B.C. Competition Council presented recommendations to the Province June 26, 2006, for enhancing the competitiveness of British Columbia's economy. Council co-chairs Dan Miller and David Thompson are featured presenting the report to Minister of Economic Development Colin Hansen.
VANCOUVER - The B.C. Competition Council co-chairs Dan Miller and David Thompson presented the council's report June 26, 2006. Recommendations in the report focused on a number of ways the Province can build on British Columbia’s successful economy, educated work force, infrastructure, competitive sources of energy and strategic location linking Asia with North America. The council reviewed the competitiveness of 12 industries, establishing an Industry Advisory Committee (IAC) for each, comprised of industry leaders, and including representatives of labour and academia.
