VANCOUVER - Colin Hansen, Minister of Economic Development accepted an award on behalf of the B.C. Olympic Games Secretariat as one of the award recipients at the fifth annual Spirit of Vancouver Awards luncheon on September 27, 2006 for B.C.-Canada Place at the Olympic Games in Italy, which provided a venue for over 80 businesses from British Columbia who met with over 125 companies. The venue was estimated to have garnered over $30 million in international media coverage. Frank Borowicz, chairman of The Vancouver Board of Trade and co-chair of Spirit of Vancouver, congratulated all the winners.
