VANCOUVER - On June 21, 2006, the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada announced an agreement had been signed for the Canada B.C. Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund which will commit $102 million in combined funding, over the coming year, for infrastructure projects across the province. A minimum of 80 per cent of funding will be targeted toward communities with a population under 250,000 people. Pictured (left to right) Marvin Hunt, President of the Union of B.C.
