DAWSON CREEK - Economic Development Minister Colin Hansen, Dawson Creek Mayor Calvin Kruk and John Malcolm, Deputy Chief Administrator, City of Dawson Creek, toured the South Peace Community Multiplex on October 5, 2006, as construction continues on the 25,000 square metre facility. The provincial government has provided $2 million in funding, through the Community Development Initiative, toward the Dawson Creek AgriPlex project, which comprises part of the Multiplex development. In addition, the federal and provincial governments have committed a combined $2 million, through the Canada/B.C. Infrastructure Program, for the adjacent Dawson Creek Aquatic Centre, also under construction.
