The Squamish and Lil'Wat First Nations has received $1 million to develop a new cultural centre in Whistler, July 24, 2006.

SQUAMISH - The Squamish and Lil'Wat First Nations has received $1 million to develop a new cultural centre in Whistler, July 24, 2006. Funding was provided by the Western Economic Diversification Canada through the Western Economic Partnership Agreement. The Province of B.C. has previously committed $6 million to the project. The facility will strengthen the cultural and ecotourism industry in the region.
