WHISTLER – Economic Development Minister Colin Hansen participated at the official groundbreaking of the Whistler Olympic and Paralympic Village, September 16, 2006. Children were on hand for the day, performing gymnastics, to highlight the legacy of the Whistler Athletes Centre as part of the Village site. Also attending the event were Federal Minister Gary Lunn, Chief Leonard Andrew representing the Four Host Nations, John Furlong from VANOC, and Whistler Mayor Ken Melamed.
