November 9, 2007 – Colin Hansen, Minister of Economic Development, toured the trades training facilities at Thompson Rivers University where he announced Pacific Coast Heavy Truck Group as the 10,000th employer to register with Industry Training Authority as an apprenticeship sponsor. Minister Hansen also received demonstrations in automotive mechanics, the new TRU Mobile Training Unit, welding, electrical and culinary arts and food service trades training.
