May 4, 2007 – Colin Hansen, Minister of Economic Development, toured Westport Innovations Inc.'s south Vancouver facility. He was briefed on the company's new low-emission, alternative fuel engine by Jonathan Burke (left), Westport's Senior Director of External Affairs. The engine pictured operates on liquefied natural gas and results in a 15-20% reduction in greenhouse gases and a 50% reduction in nitrogen oxides and soot over comparable diesel technology.
