B.C. Beef Day celebrates industry’s economic sizzle
VICTORIA – Cuts of B.C. beef are on the menu at a barbecue outside Victoria’s Parliament Buildings today as the Province proclaims May 16, 2012 the third annual B.C. Beef Day.

Fencing projects to protect motorists and livestock
VICTORIA – Approximately 100 km of fencing will be installed this year to prevent livestock from straying onto B.C. highways and railroads, as part of the Province’s $10-million highway and railroad livestock fencing plan.

$1 million supports watersheds, sustainable fish populations
COMOX – The Province is providing further support for the BC Living Rivers Trust Fund with an injection of $1 million for their core programs.

Green agriculture research gets a boost
LAKE COUNTRY – Producers will have the opportunity to increase their profits while benefiting the environment, thanks to a partnership between industry and the Governments of Canada and British Columbia.
