Removed from seismic zones and flood plains Co-Location Services are offered in the Kamloops and Calgary data centre facilities. The services include the provision of power and space for customers wishing to manage their own systems infrastructure, with optional migration and transformation services offered.

Co-location Services

  • Tier three equivalent data centre.

100 per cent, service level agreement (SLA)-backed uptime guarantee on both power and network services

  • Highly secure and protected physical infrastructures
    • controlled physical access
    • bullet-resistant guard station
    • round-the-clock video surveillance
    • biometric security authentication systems
    • 24 x 7 on-site security officers and technical support teams
    • fire control and detection systems (VESDA)
  • No single point of failure
    • two high voltage utility feeds
    • fully redundant networks with multiple connections to the Internet
    • customer environments physically segregated with separate network and power connections
    • redundant uninterrupted power
    • Use of “free cool” technology to maximize energy efficiency
    • Raised flooring and onsite work areas, conference rooms, reception, lockers and lunch rooms

What do I need to know?

In March 2009, Advanced Solutions an HP Company (formerly EDS Advanced Solutions) and the Province of British Columbia signed a long-term services agreement designed to be inclusive of the broader public sector. The arrangement includes two new state-of-the-art data centres in Kamloops, B.C. and Calgary, AB.
