The Selkirk project adjoins to the eastern end of Quartz Creek Bridge project (currently under construction). This project includes four-laning 3.9 km of highway, two wildlife crossings, wildlife exclusion fencing, and construction of a new rest area.

Project Benefits

  • Improve the safety and mobility on this section of the highway
  • Rectify drainage problems to mitigate frost heaves
  • Enhance wildlife connectivity across the TCH to reduce mortality
  • Combined with the Quartz Creek Bridge project there will be 8.3 km of four lane highway, when completed.
  • Relocation of the existing Redgrave rest areas to the Quartz Creek Forest Service Road, with enhanced facilities and improved access for the travelling public
